Fractils!

A fractal often has the following features:

It has a fine structure at arbitrarily small scales.

It is too irregular to be easily described in traditional Euclidean geometric language.

It is self similar (at least approximately or stochastilly).

It has a haudsroff dimension which is greater than its topological  dimension (although this requirement is not met by space-filling curves such as the hilburt curve).

this is what a fractil may look like :

definitions of a fractal : curves or surfaces generated by some repeated process resulting in self-similarity.

so what is trig??

Trigonometry (from Greek trigōnon “triangle” + metron “measure”[1]), informally called trig, is a branch of mathematics that deals with triangles, particularly triangles in a plane where one angle of the triangle is 90 degrees (right angled triangles). It specifically deals with the relationships between the sides and the angles of triangles; the trigonometric functions, and calculations based upon them.

Toms maths jokes…

why was 6 afriad of 7?

because…

7 8 9

:)

Teacher: “Who can tell me what 7 times 6 is?”
Student: “It’s 42!”
Teacher: “Very good! – And who can tell me what 6 times 7 is?”
Same student: “It’s 24!”

i happen to have been .. that student.

Q: Why do you rarely find mathematicians spending time at the beach?
A: Because they have sine and cosine to get a tan and don't need the sun!

soh cah toa

this term at alexandra park school, we have been looking at trig. we hve been set a homework task to find an easy way to remeber how to use sin cos and tan. this is what we have come up with.
